Very rare for me to give a 5 star review but I have been nothing but impressed by the staff, property, and location. It's is a spendy property so if you're looking to get bye a little cheaper move along. Checking in: upon arrival from the airport at approximately noon (3/1/2026) we walked to a large and brightly lit lobby and an equally bright smile from Kristina (i believe her name was) she was so pleasant to deal and made checking in a breeze. She helped up upgrade to the ocean view and that made the stay even mkre special because we saw our cruise ship come in. Rooms: the rooms are smaller, but clean bright and modern. Lots of outlets spaced everywhere. Great shower and very clean. Pool/ weight room: These are nothing short of brilliant. The pool area is out doors with incredible views and tons of space. The weight room is a beyond elite for an hotel. They have a smith machine! Lots of dumbells (up to 100lbs) and lots of machines and space. Restaurants: breakfast buffet is very good but very expensive (more then 50$ ea.) Salty is a great spot by the water for seafood.

I was upgraded to a very large suite. Very nice view. It was nice but felt very corporate and not warm and inviting. Also, the bed was it in the open and it would have been better if they had put up a screen or otherwise closed off the sleeping area. Also the water temperature was not consistent but it was ok.

Nice refreshed rooms. Great location on the seaport. Expansive gym and luxurious third floor pool. The staff was great and very attentive. Mike at the Bell stand was clutch and willing to help whenever needed. The meetings and events team was great as well and very attentive. Excited for all the remaining meeting space to be finished being renovated.

This was very nice hotel. You do pay for the premium experience but it was worth it. The location is perfect. You can walk to gas lamp district in no time as well as seaport village. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was simple but really nice and a good view of the bay. We actually used room service and it was really good food and came fairly quick. Paying 45 for parking is ridiculous with the price of the hotel also but I guess that's San Diego for you.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt has an unbeatable location with stunning views of San Diego Bay. Step outside and you’re right at Seaport Village and The Headquarters, with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park are an easy 15‑minute walk, and the light rail directly across the street makes it simple to reach Little Italy, Mission Valley, or even Chula Vista. Coronado is just a quick Lyft ride away. If you’re driving, there’s ample garage parking just steps from the entrance (for a fee). Flying in is just as convenient—the hotel is only about 15 minutes from the airport. This hotel works for just about any type of trip. It’s next to the Convention Center and has plenty of meeting space, making it ideal for business travel. For families, the rooms are a comfortable size, and the proximity to Seaport Village and casual dining is a huge plus. The pool and recreation deck—with shuffleboard and basketball—add to the family‑friendly vibe. For a romantic getaway, the bay views from the rooms and from Top of the Hyatt are hard to beat, and there are great date‑night restaurants nearby. And if you’re celebrating with friends, the location near the Gaslamp and Petco Park makes it perfect for a birthday weekend or bachelor/bachelorette trip. If you stayed here years ago and felt it didn’t live up to the hype, it’s worth giving it another shot. You can now check in and out through the app—no more long lines—and the entire hotel, including the rooms, has been refreshed. I was also told that streaming capabilities are coming to the TVs soon. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its incredible location, friendly staff, and updated feel. No matter the occasion, you’ll enjoy your stay.

I had an outstanding stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt while speaking at a conference, and this property absolutely exceeded expectations. The location is unbeatable—right on the waterfront with walkable access to restaurants, the marina, and downtown. The facilities are spotless from top to bottom, and the entire hotel feels luxurious and well-maintained. The rooftop views are incredible, especially at night—one of the best skyline vantage points in San Diego and a perfect place to unwind after a long day of sessions. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and genuinely helpful, making the entire conference experience seamless. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this hotel delivers on comfort, convenience, and first-class service. I’d gladly stay here again.

My boyfriend and I had the privilege of staying at this hotel over the weekend and we do not have enough good things to say about this place. We were greeted by staff who pointed us in the direction of a very long line. Admittedly, we were annoyed to hear that there was a conference for the weekend and assumed the check-in process was about to take forever. Instead, the line moved quickly and we were helped by the most wonderful front desk agent named Rea (I apologize if i misspelled that). She was so lovely and full of energy, went over every amenity and perk of staying at the hotel and provided the utmost customer service. Just when we thought our first impression couldn't get any better, we got to the room and we were blown away. We had a corner suite with almost 360 degree views. The room itself was impeccable. The decor was regal and the layout felt like I was in a large living space instead of a hotel. The windows actually opened just enough to enjoy the lovely seaside breeze but not enough to let all of the city noise in. It was a rainy weekend but we were able to make the most of it with all of the onsite amenities like the 4th level hot tub, game area and on-site dining. Even with all the people staying there for the conference, we were able to get reservations easily and found room at the lobby bar at all hours it was open. Hands down one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had and will be staying here without question the next time we visit San Diego.

Great hotel, excellent location, and fantastic service, starting with the front desk. Rooms were recently renovated and now they look minimalist and chic. Really good touch. The only thing they changed for the worst was the food at their club. Used to be nice and high quality, and now it is a bit standard PGC
